The Amazon

The amazon isn't burning, it's

being burned.

The Amazon is the world’s largest rainforest, creating 20% of the earth’s oxygen and hosting 30% of the

planet’s species.

Recently, massive forest fires with the intent of clearing the land for industrial or agricultural use have become a major threat for the Amazon survival.

Deforestation has increased 278% in 2019.

I created this scaled model of the amazon forest with the plan of burning it by sections to show the increase of deforestation over the last few years, but the wind was blowing and I couldn't contain the fire. All of it burned.
